This year, the world’s largest furniture fair celebrated record figures. The Salone del Mobile took place for the 62nd time at the Fiera Milano exhibition center in Rho. Numerous new products from the fields of furniture, design and innovation were on display.

A look at the figures clearly shows how successful the Salone del Mobile was this year. With 361,417 visitors, a new visitor record was set, which is 100,000 more visitors than in 2022, or 17.1 percent more than in 2023. The trade fair is no longer just for professionals. This year, 32,567 visitors came to Milan at the weekend and explored the 16 halls.

A total of 1950 exhibitors from 35 countries were represented and. An exciting cultural program was offered under the motto “Evolution”. The 15 most important market regions were represented among the 1950 exhibitors: China, Germany, Spain, Brazil, France, USA, Japan, Poland, Russia, Switzerland, Turkey, India, Great Britain, South Korea and Austria.

President Maria Porro summarized: “The 62nd edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano exceeded all expectations. A new link was created between the strong roots of design culture and the definition of new visions for the future.

The Kitchen and Bathroom Biennale is one of the success factors. EuroCucina, which only takes place every two years, and the Bathroom Biennale are two areas that take up the habits and desires of everyday life and deal with high-tech projects, new aesthetics and functions.”

The cultural program created by Annalisa Rosso (Editorial Director & Cultural Events Advisor) proved to be a great success. Three projects were on display:

  1. David Lynch installation “Thinking Room “. A blue room designed to enable thinking, according to curator Antonio Monda. Known for his surrealist films, Lynch uses dark elements such as velvet in his installation.
  2. The installation by Accurat entitled “Under the Surface”. It was on display at the International Bathroom Exhibition. The project was very well received as it dealt with the protection of the precious resource of water.
  3. The third topic was food. “All you have ever wanted to know about Food Design in Six Perfomances” was the title of a series of performances and presentations by six international magazines on the subject of food as a design object.

Among others, discussions were held with many different personalities, for example with the Pritzker Prize winner Franics Kéré.

The exhibition architecture and visitor routes, which were developed in collaboration with Lombardini22 , are another reason for the record number of visits. It was developed to give visitors the opportunity to relax, but also to work.
