Just in time for the decking season, the American manufacturer TimberTech is presenting Tropical, a new addition to its decking range. The decking board, a capped wood polymer composite (cWPC), was presented to the public for the first time at the International Builders Show in Las Vegas.
cWPC is a thermoplastically processed composite material consisting of wood, plastics and additives in various proportions. Visually and haptically, the planks are almost indistinguishable from their natural counterparts – but they do offer some decisive advantages.
Thanks to the protective polymer coating, Tropical is extremely resistant to weathering and everyday wear and tear. The decking board is suitable for use in almost all climate zones and environments, whether in the city, by the water or in the mountains. At the same time, it remains easy to maintain and durable: TimberTech products are certified. All TimberTech products are subjected to the highest standards and tested before they receive European certification.
The boards can be quickly and easily assembled into decking, depending on the shape and size required by the customer. They can also be combined with other TimberTech decking systems such as fixings, railings or lighting.
Tropical is available in the four colors “Antique Palm”, “Caribbean Redwood”, “Antigua Gold” and “Amazon Rain” and offers scope for individual design ideas: from classic warm brown tones to modern grey.
