The architects Andreas Hild and Peter Haimerl, both members of the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts, were each given the honor of exhibiting an artistic work in a hall of the Munich Residence. Difficult given the interesting and extensive work of the two architectural firms!
Peter Haimerl, for one, therefore opted for models: In the hall, his honeycomb living concept is presented on a smaller scale and the corresponding furniture design on a 1:1 scale (see also Baumeister 5/2024).
Andreas Hild also commissioned architectural photographer Michael Heinrich to take five photos of five of the firm’s buildings in Munich city center. Michael Heinrich used a pinhole camera, which makes the views appear mysteriously ageless and abstractly blurred – not objective, as the exhibition title suggests. The Wabenhaus and the five projects from the Hild und K office can be viewed in full focus directly in Munich.
Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts, Max-Joseph-Platz 3, Munich
Tue to Sat, 11 am to 5 pm
The exhibition can be seen until 16.11.2024.
