The Association of Conservators (VDR), together with the Stuttgart State Academy of Fine Arts (ABK), presents the online seminar “Occupational Safety” of the Interest Group Self-Employed Freelancers (IGSF) and the Baden-Württemberg State Group (LG BaWü) on May 8, 2021
The Interest Group Self-Employed Freelancers (IGSF) and the Baden-Württemberg State Group (LG BaWü) are planning the first seminar on “Occupational Safety” on May 8, 2021 together with the Stuttgart State Academy of Fine Arts (ABK) and the Association of Conservators (VDR). Due to the pandemic, the originally planned face-to-face event at the ABK will now take place as an online seminar.
In addition to general information and recommendations for dealing with hazardous substances such as solvents in everyday work in your own studio, in the workshop or when working on objects in situ, in-depth presentations on the treatment of asbestos and mold-contaminated objects are intended to raise awareness of responsible handling and show ways to protect yourself. Another focus will be on safety on the construction site.
In addition, participants will be given an overview of the necessary organizational processes and the responsibilities of the safety and health coordinator (SiGeKos). The safe use of ladders and rolling scaffolding will also be discussed.
