On Thursday, September 15, 2016, this year’s winners of the Bavarian Monument Preservation Award will be honored in a festive evening atmosphere. The event takes place every two years, with Schleißheim Palace in Oberschleißheim near Munich providing the backdrop this year. The Bavarian Monument Preservation Award honors building owners who are committed to the preservation of listed buildings. In addition, the respective building and the engineers involved are honored in the categories “Public Buildings” and “Private Buildings”. The latter is endowed with a total of 10,000 euros.
