In the series “the Secret History of the British Garden”, British television presenter and garden enthusiast Monty Don takes us through the history of British gardens and garden design from the 17th to the 20th century. He visits the most important gardens and takes a look behind the scenes, talks to gardeners and historians and gains an insight into centuries-old plans and records.
The first part starts at Levens Hall, the only garden from the 17th century that has remained unchanged to this day.
Monty Don is known in the UK as a television presenter, particularly for documentaries and series about gardens and garden culture, including the production “Around the World in 80 Gardens”.
