This kitchen, designed by Kate Feather for a newly built home, addresses the lack of a practical approach to the family room. The clients wanted a kitchen with interesting curves and textures that was inviting to live in. The floor plan was redesigned, the sink removed, all appliances hidden and a casual dining area with banquette installed. The large, arched oak cabinetry was designed to look like a freestanding piece of furniture while cleverly concealing the refrigerator and freezer. Together with the impressive island, it adds character and warmth to the room.
