How mixed are our cities really?

The displacement of manufacturing industry to the periphery creates a spatial and social imbalance between living and working. Although in the post-industrial era, in addition to the main focus on creating living space, attention was also paid to supplementing new urban districts with office space, retail, public facilities and restaurants, one important aspect of urban development is missing: the productive economy.

The interweaving of living and working through hybrid usage concepts promotes circular economic cycles at micro and macro level, creates a city of short distances in a sustainable way and strengthens the urban identity by preserving local craft businesses.
