The Asian restaurant Super Bao in Paris, which opened this year, is characterized by three predominant elements – stainless steel, mirrors and bright turquoise blue. Régis Botta achieved a futuristic, modern effect. The arrangement of the furniture adapts to the curved shape of the room, creating an elongated layout. The bar stools are made of stainless steel, as are the tables, and are stylistically reminiscent of an American diner. Half of the walls and the ceilings are mirrored, which on the one hand opens up the room and makes it appear larger, while on the other hand the combination of materials is accentuated by the multiple reflections. The remaining walls and the floor are turquoise blue, which is so dominant due to the mirrors that it gives the impression that the entire room is blue. Another special detail are the light rails, which run along the ceiling and floor in a curved shape and add a certain retro flair. As do the silver curtains, which are reminiscent of the beaded curtains of the seventies and eighties and separate the adjoining rooms from the main room.
