Company News: GEORG Media Sets New Standards: An outreach campaign, a “technology-first” strategy, and a new location strengthen its position as the leading media company in the architecture and planning industry.
Munich, November 24, 2025 – GEORG Media, one of Europe’s most established architecture and trade media companies, announces a major expansion of its digital activities as well as a strategic repositioning. In early November, the company is relocating its headquarters to Maximilianstraße 43, 80538 Munich, one of the city’s most prestigious addresses. With this move, GEORG Media is sending a clear signal: of its growing significance, its close ties to Munich as a location, and its identity as a modern, internationally oriented media company.
At the same time, GEORG Media is unveiling a new corporate logo that reflects the technological changes of recent years. The new design embodies a consistent “technology-first” strategy, a strong focus on digital media brands, and international expansion. The visual identity is intended not only to express modernization but also to herald the new products, tools, and platforms that the company will launch in the coming months.
Since 2020, Chief Content Officer and Chief Technology Officer Tobias Hager has been a key driver of the company’s digital transformation—with a clear technological vision and deep expertise. Hager combines editorial expertise with a background in AI, data architecture, and media automation. Under his leadership, new analytical processes have been implemented, content distribution systems developed, and data-driven workflows created, which today serve as the foundation for one of the strongest reach figures in the European architecture and planning magazine market.
This reach is now clearly measurable: With its five primarily German-language print magazines— Baumeister, G+L, Restauro, STEIN, and topos magazine —GEORG Media reaches over 150,000 German-speaking professional readers each month across all distribution channels. At the same time, the company’s digital offerings generate nearly 500,000 contacts per month, with a strong upward trend. This makes GEORG Media one of the industry’s leading information providers in terms of reach—both nationally and internationally.
“Over the past few years, we’ve completely rebuilt our digital infrastructure—from semantic data capture to AI-powered topic clusters to automated reach forecasts,” explains Hager. “Our goal was to make architecture and planning communication measurable, scalable, and globally accessible. Today, we not only know which topics are relevant worldwide, but also when, where, and how they reach their target audiences. We use this technology not only for ourselves but also for our partners—and that is precisely where its added value lies.”
This transformation is yielding clear results:
- The company’s digital brands and international platforms are experiencing continuous growth and are now among the trade media with the widest reach in the European architecture and urban planning sector.
- Print and digital are linked through new data analytics that make GEORG Media unique in the market.
- Seven new international online media brands are tapping into new target audiences and advertising markets.
- The new location underscores the ambition to establish the most modern, technology-oriented media hub in Munich.
Publisher and Managing Director Dominik Baur-Callwey views this new direction as a decisive step toward the company’s future:
“GEORG Media has titles with a long history and tradition. Our goal is to move beyond the boundaries of a traditional B2B publisher. We will target new audiences and leverage new channels. The direction set by Tobias Hager with his technological expertise is exactly the right one: international, data-driven, and with broad reach. With our architecture and planning brands, we’re already close to the relevant markets and players. We’ll achieve the same with our new brands. With our move to the city center, our brands are coming home; at the same time, it serves as the launching pad for innovative new media brands.”
Hager also emphasizes the strategic dimension of the international expansion:
“With our new brands and formats, we’re reaching planners and decision-makers worldwide. The coming months will be marked by new launches—digital products that not only generate reach but also become genuine tools for brand communication. Our partners are thus investing not in ads, but in a system based on technology, data-driven precision, and global visibility.”
The 2026 media datanow presented clearly demonstrates how far GEORG Media has advanced its transformation. Advertisers gain access to a comprehensive, internationally oriented portfolio of magazines, digital platforms, newsletters, social media channels, job portals, and innovative distribution channels.
For partner companies, this means:
greater reach, higher efficiency, and the ideal environment for placing architecture, landscape, and urban planning communications in a targeted and globally effective manner.
“Ultimately, good stories need good technology—and good technology needs people who understand it,” says Hager. “And it’s precisely this combination that sets us apart.”
