When the leading trade fair for the construction industry, BAU 2019 in Munich, opens its doors on January 14, 2019, GRAPHISOFT, manufacturer of the leading BIM planning software ARCHICAD, will be exhibiting in Hall C5 for the first time.
When BAU 2019, the leading trade fair for the construction industry, opens its doors in Munich on January 14, 2019, GRAPHISOFT, one of the leading manufacturers of BIM planning software, will be exhibiting in Hall C5 for the first time. In the newly built exhibition hall, which is entirely dedicated to construction IT, trade visitors will find IT solutions from the fields of CAD, AVA, project planning, measurement technology, project management and controlling. Digital planning with BIM will be one of the focal points of the trade fair. GRAPHISOFT will be presenting its latest version ARCHICAD 22 at BAU 2019 and will also be focusing on important topics such as collaboration between those involved in planning via the Teamwork solution and cross-platform data exchange with OPEN BIM via IFC.
BAU-IT moves from Hall C3 to Hall C5 and occupies the entire exhibition space there. This makes it the largest show of its kind in Europe. GRAPHISOFT, with its ARCHICAD BIM software, will be offering interested trade fair visitors, architects and specialist planners a complete overview of its innovative software solutions at its 120 m² stand at BAU 2019. These no longer include ARCHICAD alone, but also applications such as the comprehensive BIM tool BIMx, which enables interactive project visualization using virtual reality (VR), or the manufacturer’s teamwork solution, which enables simultaneous work in BIM planning.
For GRAPHISOFT Managing Director Dr. Eberhard Stegner, the trade fair is the most important indicator of the construction and construction IT industry in Europe: “Every two years, BAU offers us the opportunity to maintain a fruitful and direct dialog with our users. The numerous discussions at the trade fair stand are essential in order to further improve, adapt and expand our products and digital services in a meaningful way. After all, our users expect us to provide an optimal solution for daily use in architectural planning and the interaction between BIM and OPEN BIM. ARCHICAD has stood for this high standard for over 30 years, right from the very first version.
Teamwork is highly relevant at the trade fair
The cross-location collaboration of teams of architects in complex building planning is increasingly in demand. GRAPHISOFT offers its Teamwork solution for this purpose, which allows smooth, secure centralized and decentralized access to planning data. This enables simultaneous editing of BIM planning in ARCHICAD, which reduces sources of error and optimizes project workflows. Teamwork can also offer further advantages, as the specialists at the stand will explain.
OPEN BIM becomes possible – with ARCHICAD and AVA
OPEN BIM technology and its embedding in the BIM planning process via the manufacturer-open IFC interface will also be a topic at the trade fair in Munich. GRAPHISOFT will also be presenting the initial results of a comprehensive and ongoing OPEN BIM analysis of the interaction between the ARCHICAD BIM model and qualitative quantity takeoff in AVA programs. So far, nine well-known AVA software providers have taken part in the test.
Concentrated expertise and ten workstations on site
During the six days of the BAU 2019 trade fair, GRAPHISOFT employees will be available to ARCHICAD users and interested parties, students, architects and specialist planners with ten fully equipped CAD and BIM workstations. This concentrated expertise of developers and software specialists is already a tradition at BAU. The manufacturer will be showing ARCHICAD in action and will be focusing on the essentials: its software expertise.
