Many building owners want cladding with ceramic elements in the edge area instead of a classic profile. The manufacturer Gutjahr Systemtechnik has now developed a new edging bracket.

With TerraMaxx TSL from Gutjahr, ceramic elements can be laid as quickly and easily as possible. The dry pedestal support is completely pre-assembled, height-adjustable and can be leveled. Now the drainage specialist from Bickenbach/Hesse is also offering new solutions for the edges of these structures, resulting in a higher-quality look.

The new ceramic TerraMaxx TSL edging support consists of two stainless steel retaining clips into which the 2 cm thick ceramic elements are inserted. The upper part is placed over the joint bars of the leveling head and thus fixes the floor covering. The lower part is placed under the pedestal base. Both parts together hold the vertical edge finish.

A new feature is the option of gluing the edge coverings. To do this, AquaDrain XL perforated brackets are fixed to the pedestal base using the special DiProtec FIX-MSP sealing adhesive and the edging is fixed to the perforated bracket. This allows heights of up to 150 mm to be created with one perforated bracket and up to 500 mm with two perforated brackets. The coverings are fixed in place with the special DiProtec FIX-MSP sealing adhesive.

“With these two system additions, installers can decide whether they want to lay ceramic edgings loose or bond them,” reports Gutjahr Managing Director Ralph Johann. Clients can choose between ceramic edging or a profile made of durable, powder-coated aluminum. Gutjahr offers the ProFin KL 92/150 drainage gravel strip, which is infinitely height-adjustable from 92 to 150 mm without tools.
