Modern retro flair

The Italian restaurant Juno in Doha is all about the reinterpretation of classic American diners. The interior is inspired by retro, both in terms of color and choice of materials. Olive green upholstered benches are framed by wood in a warm reddish tone. The floor, tiled with large-grained, dark gray terrazzo, merges into a transparent glass block wall that elegantly delimits the stairwell. The textured white walls give the room a bright and spacious feel, which is also emphasized by the two-storey high ceiling in the front area of the restaurant. The color palette chosen by Rawan Muqaddas and Selma Akkari, complemented by yellow and peach-colored tables, is also picked up in the selected artworks by Brendan Lancaster and Frankie Thorp on the walls, which make the ambience appear younger and more modern. The two designers have their finger on the pulse here, taking the current retro trend to a modern level and creating a unique ambience.
