Architect Luciano Dalla Marta designs exclusive tables for Guidoni
Brazilian architect Luciano Dalla Marta presented the “Tapis tables” at the Vitoria Stone Fair. The natural stone tables are based on the organic shapes of the gardens and parks designed by Roberto Burle Marx.
Burle Marx is considered the founder of modern horticulture and worked primarily with indigenous plants. Dalla Marta has also adopted this return to materials from the region and used them to design unique tables. The architect emphasizes that natural stone can be used in almost infinite colour combinations, making each piece unique.
Natural shapes and textures play an important role for Dalla Marta. He combined the granite varieties “Black Taurus” and “Amarone” to create a table of flowing shapes and strong color accents. The two stones are quarried by Guidoni in the state of Minas Gerais in south-eastern Brazil. He also processed the “Maximus dolomite marble”, which the Brazilian granite exporter presented as a new product in its natural stone portfolio at the Vitoria Stone Fair. The marble is quarried in Bodoquena in western Brazil. The Vitoria Stone Fair took place from February 12 to 15 in Espríto Santo, Brazil. It is an offshoot of Marmomac, the world’s leading trade fair for natural stone, which takes place annually in Verona in September.
The family-run Guidoni Group specializes in Brazilian natural stone, making it the country’s largest exporter of granite. In addition to supplying raw blocks and natural stone slabs, the company also wants to sell more finished stone products and is planning its own logistics center for this purpose. With the “Tapis tables” at the Vitoria Stone Fair, Guidoni also took part for the second time in a row in the “Brazilian Stones Original Design Show”, which presents and promotes local natural stone.
