We measure everything! – Proliner stone packages include everything you need to grow your business. On site with the ultimate digital templater, the Proliner, and indoors with the Prodim Factory Fabricator Portal.

The Proliner – Unrivaled digital measurement technology through physical marking

The Proliner has earned a reputation for being the most accurate, efficient and flexible digital templater on the market. The Proliner is at the heart of every Proliner stone package and is perfect for measuring a wide range of projects, from worktops with or without splashbacks to fully tiled bathrooms.

Prodim Factory software – connecting the field, office and production with the features relevant to the job in hand

With four versions of Factory software available, each with a higher level of functionality, companies can choose the software that best suits their needs. The innovative Factory Draw Advanced, for example, offers a simple ‘as-is’ multi-level design with insightful 2D/3D views and robust collision alerts. It can easily identify potential problems and help with design decisions.

By entering details such as the stone, the thickness of the stone pieces and the glue offset to be used, Factory Draw Advanced can perform calculations and identify potential problems. Warnings are color coded: red when pieces intersect, orange when pieces touch and green when everything is OK. The software can show how measured walls are aligned and provides the tools to optimize the project for production. We call this process normalization!

Prodim Factory 5.0 – Integrated photogrammetry

Prodim’s latest software release “Prodim Factory 5.0” sets new standards for today’s fabricator. Seamless integration of on-site proliner measurements with real images provides insight and project control. Match an image taken by your camera with your measurements or drawings. You can view your image in the drawing/editing view or in the rotating 2D/3D view. This increases the overview and orientation during editing and reduces the risk of errors.

When you edit the layout of the production parts created in DRAW to MATCH, it is immediately displayed in a 2D preview. You can use this 2D layout for your matching, but you can also experience your matching in 3D. Zoom, rotate and take snapshots of your favorite views or match your views with your photos.

With Factory Full Fabricator, you can even build your digital slab library and match all your natural stone slabs in your design. Ready for production!

Tool-optimized nesting for realistic vein matching

In the latest version of Factory Full Fabricator, users can add the “cutting area” of machine tools (saw or waterjet) to the Prodim Factory software. The specific cutting area of the tools can be added to the design tools. You can see immediately what will happen! The parts are now automatically labeled to make it easier to identify the parts. Use the automatic alignment function to align all parts (with or without considering lead-in and lead-out lines) and edit the cutting lines to solve impossible corner cases or other problems.

This way, users can precisely align parts and make realistic veins, and they can send the nesting plans to their own saw, waterjet or CNC machine!

Advantage of facade green

Green façades offer advantages. This has now been supported by a study carried out by TU Darmstadt on behalf of the Ministry of the Environment of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Green façades have many advantages. This assumption has now been confirmed by an analysis carried out by TU Darmstadt on behalf of the Ministry of the Environment of North Rhine-Westphalia. On 100 pages, the university has compiled facts that should provide important impulses for local authorities. The report focuses on performance and applicability. The data is illustrated using an example project in Aachen. The researchers found that façade greening counteracts heat stress, promotes biodiversity, retains rainwater, reduces noise pollution, filters air, provides shade and provides evaporation.

“Berlin is poor, but sexy!” This quote by former Berlin mayor Klaus Wowereit became so popular that it shaped the city’s image. Since then, Berlin has changed – also economically – and it is debatable whether poor is still the right term. But Berlin still seems to be sexy. We asked our Academy winner Cosku Özdemirci to present her favorite places in Berlin that exude that certain Berlin charm.

The German capital is an attractive city: the crowded streets are proof of this. Everyone may have a different perception of what makes the city attractive. I think it’s more than the architecture, culture and work scene that draws people to Berlin. Perhaps it’s the atmosphere – the everyday spirit of the city that makes it so special. That’s why I tried to capture the moments that seemed special to me as I wandered around Berlin. The photo series shows the less attractive and not so beautiful corners of the city, which for me represent the Berlin spirit.
