From October 7 to October 28, 2016, Planstatt Senner from Überlingen presented its work and most important projects in the exhibition “The new dress of the landscape”. The vernissage in the new Munich offices was a special highlight: Planstatt opened its landscape architecture exhibition with a fashion show.

A fashion show for the vernissage of a landscape architecture exhibition: the idea is as unusual as it is good. Planstatt Senner from Überlingen had its design plans and project photos printed on fabric, sewn together by an employee into pants, skirts, dresses and shirts and presented by models in a backyard of Munich’s Glockenbach district to Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. The motto of the exhibition “The new dress of the landscape” continues in the new offices of the Munich branch of the landscape architecture firm. Numerous other Planstatt projects on the themes of city, landscape, park and garden can be seen there. Printed on lengths of fabric, they hang on hangers on clothes racks like in a fashion store: for example, the plans for the planned extension of the documentation center on Obersalzberg near Berchtesgaden, the park around the castle lake in Salem on Lake Constance and the Europaplatz in Stuttgart. The reference to fashion is quickly apparent: being creative, presenting oneself, expressing a style, incorporating the seasons, furnishing landscapes – all of this also plays an essential role in landscape architecture and in particular in the work of the office.
The exhibition can be seen until October 28, 2016 in the rooms of Planstatt Senner, Holzstraße 30 (1st floor) from 10 am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm.
