Australians Amy Seo, Shahar Cohen and Bill Clifton have jointly founded “Second Edition” to work on a more resource-efficient construction process. The kitchen, made from used Form-Ply and fiberglass-reinforced plastic for the cabinet fronts, is a first attempt at a recycled kitchen. The worktop was made in collaboration with Natural Brick from Warragama. It is made from marble waste, a cement mixture of fly ash, yellow sand and marble sand. The electrical appliances such as the stove and oven, as well as the sink, are second-hand. Second Edition is an office dedicated to reuse and deconstruction. Resource-efficient construction with materials that would otherwise have ended up as waste.
