What makes “Café Petibon” in the Gaillon district of Paris so special are the bright red and pale pink tiled walls. Even the façade stands out with this striking color combination, which extends throughout the entire store. The café, designed by the Uchronia collective in 2023, thus develops a very unique effect that extends to the entire store concept. Playfully romantic elements, such as the classically designed menu on the wall, meet sober, modern shapes – cool, straightforward components meet warm, cozy details. Not only the walls, but also the counter and the bench are tiled, as is the floor in places. Modern lights that blend in with the angular design language create a bright, friendly atmosphere. The final touch is the mirrored ceiling, which visually opens up the room and rounds off the effect of the glossy tiles.
